As kids, we used to interact with the world differently, joy was our main goal in every interaction. The only limit on how we perceived and used our environment was our imagination, dining tables became forts, castles were constructed from boxes and blankets… It can be easy to forget moments and memories that arise from unpredictable, fun, and creative interaction with our environment. The SeesawBench is a playful return to this mindset, it challenges the conventional perception of furniture and focuses on interaction, activity, and fun. It’s elegant and fine in aesthetic, yet it has a joyful spirit. It’s a seesaw in a suit. The bench has a spherical base which allows it to roll in various directions. It seats on a bed that restricts its movement to the desired degree.
