Sahara Vase
Growing up in Iran, I’ve always been greatly influenced by the beauty of the deserts. Desert landscape is soft yet it’s very dangerous. It’s all dirt and sand but when the sun comes up it shines like gold. I look back at those days and remember the light beams passing through dust that comes out of my hand and disappears in the wind. The Sahara vase is a sculptural piece that tries to capture and reflects some of those memories.
