RIPPLE COLLECTION
Light is one of the most mysterious things for me. We depend on it to understand our surroundings, but it often tricks us and shows us amazing things that don’t exist. The sparkles of shiny sands on the beach or the colorful beam lights coming through a cathedral window. Although those sands are not gemstones and those colorful light beams are nothing but dust in the air, they are so beautiful that people travel long distances to experience them. The Ripple project is inspired by one of these gems. The effects of the reflected light from floating oil over water. In the Ripple project, I tried to isolate and reconfigure the patterns and colors of those reflections in three dimensions to create a unique and elegant aesthetics. I’m using these aesthetics to design a collection of home decore, furniture, and environments.
